Educational Events Committee – Jane Keys, Chair & Karen Barno, Staff
First Thursday of each month, 9 am, Arizona ALFA Office & Zoom
This committee identifies education and training to enhance the skills and knowledge of members. Develops programs formats and recommends speakers for workshops and conferences. Identifies and provides relevant training regarding emerging issues and training to increase the members’ success.
Memory Care Committee – Millie Oakenson, Chair & Mariah Ortiz, Staff
First Friday of each month, 12 pm, Arizona ALFA Office & Zoom
This committee develops best practices for memory care in assisted living and participates in advocacy efforts.
Public Policy Committee – Belinda Radder, Chair & Karen Barno, Staff
Every Friday, 10 am, Arizona ALFA Office & Zoom
This committee advocates for specific issues resulting from local or state officials affecting assisted living partners; committee members work to develop and maintain relationships with governmental officials and participate in fundraisers and ongoing advocacy efforts.
Industry Partner Committee – Kaleb Threlkeld, Chair & Mariah Ortiz, Staff
Second Wednesday of each month, 9 am, Arizona ALFA Office & Zoom
This committee’s goal is to recommend that companies grow and develop their business within assisted living and senior housing.
